Abstract
Assuming a basic familiarity with Spark and Scala, author Michael Malak will cover a what GraphX is, its most fundamental operations, and under what circumstances GraphX is useful from architectural and performance points of view. At least one interesting application using open data will be presented. Hardcore graph theory will be avoided, but terminology will be defined along the way.
