CENTRAL LONDON

Guest of Honour: Caroline Gorski, Head of IoT, Digital Catapult

At a time when uptake and innovation continues apace, Brexit looms and Ofcom plans further spectrum auctions, this timely seminar will be an opportunity for delegates to examine the latest issues and priorities for the development of the internet of things sector throughout the UK.

With the growing commercial uptake of large-scale applications, delegates will consider the barriers to overcome to fully realise the value of IoT for businesses - particularly in terms of standards, data and cyber security - as well as examine the key commercial opportunities presented in areas such as automation, efficiency and data usage. Delegates will also discuss emerging issues surrounding public and private investment and cross-sector collaboration, examining how findings from pilot programmes can be effectively ultilised to inform future projects, next steps for developing purpose built infrastructure and protecting data, as well as consider what next for increasing consumer awareness and trust in smart devices.

We are delighted that at this early stage Caroline Gorski, Head of IoT, Digital Catapult; Gary Atkinson, Chief Executive Officer, Enlight; Michael Bironneau, Head of Technical Development, Open Energi; Nick Forde, IoT Evangelist for EMEA, SAP; Miranda Sharp, Head of Smart Cities Practice, Ordnance Survey; Dr Sam De Silva, Partner, Nabarro and Professor William Webb, Chief Executive Officer, Weightless SIG and Director, Webb Search have agreed to speak.
